Life is good people! We’ve got lots of great shows lined up for the next several months. There are a couple of new venues (WOB-Brandon and Sea Dog Brewing) we are really excited about. We are playing three shows in Pinellas County in the near future. We know that will make a lot of our loyal fans happy. We have a couple of fantastic charity events lined up too! (The Blue Jean Ball & Derby Days). Those shows are going to be HUGE. Got a couple of more BIG things in the works so please stay tuned and check back often. 2014 is turning out to be EPIC! PS. We love our dedicated and loyal fans. You guys are ROCK SOLID!
Big things happening for the band. Just got done playing a pre game concert for the Tampa Bay Rowdies, the legendary professional soccer franchise here in the Bay Area. They were so impressed and got such positive feedback from the fans that they have asked us to come back and do it again. They’ve offered us several dates. Stay tuned and check back here on Reverbnation for more info. Meanwhile, we are getting ready, rehearsing some new material and working our fingers to the bone in preparation for another big show. Live outdoor music and fireworks on the beach, we love the 4th of July! This year we will be performing at the City of Gulfport’s 4th of July Celebration. The outdoor stage will be located in front of the historic Gulfport Casino, located in the city’s Waterfront Art District. The festivities start at at 2pm. We begin playing at 5:30 and do a 45min set. We will take a break during the parade which starts at 6:30 and lasts for about an hour. We will come back and hit the stage for two more 45min sets and play right up until the fireworks start at 9pm. We are expecting a huge crowd and looking forward to a great time. Hope you can join us!
The Outpatients would like to thank the amazing crowd that came out and helped us conquer the World of Beer on 5.10.13. Dancing on the bar, singing at the top of your lungs, working the tambourine….You guys killed it. Now that’s what we’re talking about!! We would be remiss if we didn’t thank the Management and Staff at World of Beer-Westchase too. You guys are always so good to us and we appreciate all you do to make us feel so welcome. If you haven’t caught a show at WOB Westchase, keep an eye on our schedule and get you butt out there. You will be glad you did.
We love what we do. We get to play our favorite music with our best friends. We are also lucky enough to have people that actually enjoy coming to see us play. We’ve had the opportunity to play some great venues along side some legendary musicians over the years. But what makes it all worth while is to be able to do what you love and help people at the same time. This Saturday, April 27th is one of those times. We are playing the KV & Friends Benefit Jam for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Opening the night will be our good friend Matt Marquardt’s sons’ band, Bet Me I’m Lying. Matt is a good friend from High School and his son’s band has been touring with national acts and has a very bright future. We play the middle set from 9pm-10:30. Our good friend Glen Griffith (and former Outpatient) brings his new funk band, Cosmic Slop, to finish out the night with a set that is sure to make you get up and dance. All the bands are doing this for free. We are all doing our part to help the kids. Children shouldn’t have to worry about things like this. With your help we can help support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and find a cure to Juvenile T1 Diabetes. Thanks to David Veghte, Leigh Veghte and the Suncoast Classics Sports Association for inviting us to be a part of this great event. We really do love what we do! Capitol Beer House 422 Cleveland Street Clearwater, Florida 33755 8pm-1am. $10 suggested donation at the door.
We recently met with the Tampa Bay Rowdies Marketing Department regarding an Outpatient/Rowdies partnership. What a class organization with so much local history. Steve and Pat even got the chance to take their picture with the NASL Championship Trophy. We remember back in the day when they would put 75 thousand fans in the “Old Sombrero”. Great memories. After winning the NASL Championship again last year (first time was back in 1975), the tradition of excellence continues. Home opener at Al Lang Field is April 6th vs Carolina @ 7:30 pm. Big announcement coming soon!!
